Duvet for holiday homes, campervans and guest rooms
A bed you do not use yourself every night mainly needs to be ready quickly. Whether it is your guest room, your holiday home, your B&B or your campervan: with a washable duvet without a cover you change the bed in a few minutes, and it always looks well kept.
Why no duvet cover works for changing use
- Faster changeovers. Duvet off the bed, in the wash, back on the bed. No taking off and putting on a duvet cover.
- The whole duvet gets washed. Up to 60 °C, so every guest gets a fully washed duvet.
- Always a neat bed. Cover and filling are one whole; nothing can shift.
- Easy to explain. Ideal if someone else makes the beds, such as a cleaner or a family member.
- Less storage space. No stacks of duvet covers in the cupboard.
By situation
Guest room
After your guests leave, the duvet goes in the wash, and then the bed is ready again. If the room is empty for a while, you can simply leave the bed made: airing it and shaking it up now and then is enough. If you have a sofa bed, measure the width when it is unfolded.
Holiday home, B&B and rentals
Between check-out and check-in, every minute counts. Work with two duvets per bed: one on the bed, one clean in reserve. Give each room its own colour, so you can see at a glance which duvet belongs where. The calm, neat bed also looks good in the photos of your accommodation.
Campervan and boat
In an over-cab bed or V-berth, putting on a duvet cover is almost impossible. A duvet without a cover solves that too. The microfibre filling usually dries faster than down, and the smaller sizes fit in a 5 kg drum, like the ones you often find at campsites and marinas. Ventilate daily and only put the duvet back after washing once it is completely dry.
How changeovers work
- Take the duvet off the bed.
- Wash it separately, up to 60 °C at about 1000 rpm, in a drum that is large enough.
- Dry it in the tumble dryer on a normal programme with a shake in between, or fully on the line.
- Put it back on the bed, shake it up and you are done.

Sizes and washing machine
Choose a duvet that is at least 40 cm wider than the mattress. Try to use as few different sizes as possible in your holiday home or rental property; that makes changeovers even easier.

Frequently asked questions
How many duvets do I need per bed?
For a guest room, one is often enough. For rentals we recommend two per bed, so there is always a clean duvet ready.
Do guests like a duvet without a cover?
The duvet has a finished, soft outer fabric and looks like a normally made bed. You can let guests know that the duvet is washed in its entirety after every stay.
Can I have the duvets washed by a laundry service?
Yes, as long as the washing instructions are followed: a maximum of 60 °C and then dried completely.
Which duvet fits in a campervan?
Measure the mattress. A duvet about 40 cm wider is a good starting point, but for a bed between walls a slightly smaller size can be more practical.
